Our seniors were unlucky to come out on the wrong side of a 2-12 to 3-08 scoreline after a terrific battle with Dungannon at the weekend.

The U14’s continued their winning streak winning 7-09 to 0-04 away to Edendork. This Saturday they host Donaghmore in Pairc Gheardhromma at 11:00 which at the same time the U14 Development team host Errigal Ciaran.

The club has recently launched its Grand Prize Draw which is fundraising towards the cost of our new changng room complex. Ticket sellers will be out and about in our local area this week and we would ask for as much support as possible from our local parish as we aim to erect a building that will serve our club and community for many years to come. Tickets are priced at £100 for 8, £40 for 3 or £20 for one and the total prize fund is £30,000 with a top prize of £20,000, sellers can take payment in cash or by card, please support the club.

The Ceili and Two Hand dance classes have resumed and take place on Tuesday evenings in the Sports Hall from 8:15 – 9:45, these are always a great evenings craic and a bit of gentle exercise, everyone is welcome to come along and refreshments are provided afterwards, cost is just £3.

Ranganna Gaeilge - Irish language Classes will resume Mon 11th September at 7pm in St. John's school. There are 3 levels, Complete Beginners, Beginner Improvers and Meánleibhéal, for more info contact Cónall (07815784962). The Ciorcal Comhrá Irish language conversation continues on Sunday mornings from 11:00 – 12:00 in the Village Table.

The Torthaí Lató (lotto winning numbers) for last week (27th) were 5, 9, 14, 23, 29 and 30, there were 14 winners with 4 correct numbers each and Cecil Moore (Ashlands) went one better scooping £250 with 5 correct numbers.
