Our Gaelic Start continues on Friday evenings from 6:15 to 7:00 in the Sports Centre and is for boys and girls who are in Pre School, P1 and P2.
Keep free Friday 9th December for a cultural night in the Central Bar. This will include a Popup Gaeltacht 8pm - 9pm, Tráth na gCeist (Quiz) 9pm - 10pm and a seisiún ceoil (music session) 10pm - late. You don't need to be able to speak Irish to take part in the quiz, as there will be people there to help translate. All proceeds will go to the local branch of St. Vincent de Paul.
Irish language classes for beginners and improvers are taking place on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m., the classes take place in St. John’s School and cost just £3 per night, newcomers are most welcome.
The Irish language conversation group continues on Sunday mornings from 11:00 – 12:00 in the Village Table.
The Torthaí Lató (lotto winning numbers) for last week (23rd) were 5, 7, 11, 13, 23 and 29, there were 25 winners with 4 correct numbers each and Davy Baird, Colm McCann (Ballygawley), Brendan Nugent and Pauline Smith all went one better with 5 correct numbers winning £65 each.
