One of our big social events of the year takes place this Saturday in Fintona Golf Club when we host our Annual Golf Classic. There are still a few tee times remaining for anyone interested in having a good days craic, contact Michael Montague (82898446) or Seamus McNabb (82898492) for details.
The golf classic is as always followed by a steak barbecue and entertainment night, tickets are priced at £10 each and are available from Barry Campbell (07541418217), Donal Slevin (07786 150464) or in Montague's Shop or alternatively you can pay at the door. The Barbecue kicks off at 8:00 and music on the night will be provided by the popular JD Band, we hope to see all club supporters there for what always proves to be a great night.
Our senior team continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 0-16 to 1-09 victory away to Greencastle in blistering conditions last Sunday with the reserves also emerging 1-13 to 1-12 victors. On Sunday both teams are due to face Cookstown at home at 2:15 and 3:45.
Well done to the U15 Og Sport team who qualified for the county finals when they won their section on Monday evening, the finals are due to take place next Tuesday.
The U14 team continued their unbeaten season also when they defeated Carrickmore 3-20 to 4-03 last Friday evening in the league semi-finals. They are due to play Killyclogher in the league final on Wednesday night and then they face Ardboe on Saturday in Greencastle in the championship semi-final at 1:30
Unfortunately our U14 hurling team were defeated by Dungannon in their championship semi-final, many thanks to Brian McCarron for his work with this team all year.
There will be a blitz this Saturday for U8's, the venue will be on facebook and the website. Coaching continues as normal for U10 & U12's on Saturday at 10:00, with the U12's due to face Drumragh at home this Monday evening at 7:00.
Lotto numbers for last week were 12, 14, 18, 19, 26 and 27, there were 9 winners with 4 correct numbers each and Gerry McBride from Irvinestown was the monthly £50 winner. Next weeks jackpot will be £12,700.
Votes of sympathy were passed at the last 2 monthly meeting for McNulty, McMackin, Harkin (Killyclogher), Bradley, Mullarky, Donerty (Dregish), McNabb and McGarvey (Sixmilecross) families on their recent bereavements.
